Tailless whip scorpions (Phrynus maxicanus) are a unique species that prefer taller enclosures as they are an arboreal species. While they are mostly a tropical species, they have been known to live in more arid environments in the United States. They are a nocturnal species of scorpion that do not require UVB, but a light source to establish a day and night cycle is recommended.
