Common Name: Persicaria Hydropiper, Polygonum sp.

It produces vivid green and red colors that work great in paludariums given its fast, marginal growth in natural settings. It can adapt to submerged conditions where its leaves become softer and may produce green and pink tones. Persicaria is a good option for aquarium hobbyists or plant enthusiasts in search of a unique plant that can be grown many different ways. It’s a fast grower and will need to be pruned on occasion!

Like many other stem plants, providing medium to high light with the addition of CO2 will improve health and growth. This plant may come in bunched or potted form depending on availability.

• Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
