The Halloween Hermit Crab stands out because of its orange and red striped legs. They help maintain a clean aquarium by eating green haired algae, cyanobacteria, and left over food that settles down into the sand. In addition, they also sift through sand and help it maintain a good oxygen level. Shells should be provided for them to move into when they grow bigger or they might resort to eating snails to use the shell as its home.
