The Diamond Watchman Goby is a peaceful and hardy addition to reef aquariums. Its white body is accented with vibrant orange spots, giving it a clean yet eye-catching appearance. This goby thrives in tanks of 30 gallons or more with a fine sand substrate and plenty of live rock. It builds shallow burrows in the sand, which not only provide shelter but also help oxygenate the substrate, supporting a healthy tank environment. While generally non-aggressive, it can be territorial with other gobies unless kept as a bonded pair. A bottom-dweller by nature, it constantly sifts through sand in search of food, making it an active and beneficial part of the tanks ecosystem. To stay healthy, it should be fed multiple times a day with a varied diet that includes live or frozen mysis and brine shrimp, black worms, and carnivore-prepared foods.
