Veiled chameleons are a medium to large size chameleon. They are very hardy and with the right environment can be very easy to keep. Out of all the chameleons, veileds are most popular for first time chameleon owners. Babies can be kept together but once maturity approaches, they must be housed individually or in an enclosure large enough that they can not see each other. This beautiful male here is about 8months old and quite large already but still growing! All the colours that you see in these photos were taken within a matter of 5min and are indicative of his mood which can change quickly. Please keep in mind that mature veiled chameleons do not like to be handled and are better appreciated in a beautifully decorated tank.
