Remarks: The Mloto Goldcrest is a member of the Copadichromis genus, a mild-mannered group from Lake Malawi. Males exhibit dark bodies with a golden crest from their nose, along their forehead, and through the dorsal fin. They will dig small pits in the sand to spawn in and prefer mostly open water.
