The Platinum Clownfish (Amphiprion percula, designer variant) is a stunning, all-white marvel created through years of selective breeding from Picasso Clownfish. The Platinum Clownfish boasts a sleek, nearly pure white body accented by touches of orange on the face and lower fins. Its fins are either fully black or delicately outlined in black, with the contrast becoming more pronounced as the fish matures. Despite its bold appearance, the Platinum Clownfish is just as hardy and easy to care for as any standard percula, thriving in reef aquariums with or without anemones. It can be housed alone or in pairs, though it tends to be slightly more assertive than its ocellaris cousins. To minimize any potential territorial behavior, its best introduced after more timid tank mates. This semi-aggressive fish is reef-safe and does well in community setups when proper introductions are made. A true omnivore, the Platinum Clownfish eagerly accepts pellets, flakes, and frozen or live foods, especially higher-quality options that help enhance its vibrant coloration.
